Transhumanism as Religion - End of Nightmare: The Modern Prometheus Was Right
The fear of creation has always been part of human nature.
Every time something new appears—technology, ideas, discoveries—the same question emerges:
Are we crossing a line?
We instinctively feel that creating something new might be dangerous.
But is that fear justified… or is it something we’ve simply learned to repeat?
Frankenstein – A Story That Never Ends
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is not just a story about a monster.
It is a story about the fear of creation itself.
Every time humanity pushes boundaries, the same reactions appear:
This is dangerous
This should not exist
This will get out of control
But was the problem really the creation?
Or was it the way humans responded to it?
Prometheus – The First Forbidden Creator
The myth of Prometheus tells the story of someone who gave humanity fire—a symbol of knowledge and progress.
For that act, he was punished.
Since then, we have repeated the same pattern:
👉 creation = risk
👉 progress = danger
But without that “fire,” civilization would not exist.
Why Do We Fear Creation?
The fear of creation does not come from creation itself.
It comes from something deeper:
👉 loss of control
👉 the unknown
👉 change
Creating something new means entering territory we do not fully understand.
And humans naturally fear what they cannot predict.
Is Technology the Problem… or Is It Us?
In the modern world, the same pattern continues:
artificial intelligence
technological progress
automation
Each time, we ask:
👉 “Is this too dangerous?”
But history suggests something different:
Creation is not the problem.
The way we respond to it is.
The End of the Nightmare
For centuries, humanity has lived with the idea that creation leads to disaster.
But what if that belief is the real illusion?
What if the “nightmare” was never real?
👉 What if fear itself was the problem?
Creation is not a mistake.
It is not a violation of boundaries.
It is a natural step in evolution.
So maybe the real question is not:
👉 “Should we create?”
But:
👉 Why are we so afraid of it?
