Transhumanism as Religion
Episode: End of Self

We like to believe that we are someone.

Defined. Stable. Continuous.
But that has never been true.
The “self” is not a solid structure.
It is a process.
A pattern that forms, breaks, and reforms again.
Your thoughts change.
Your beliefs evolve.
Even your memories are rewritten over time.
And yet you still say: “this is me.”
But what exactly is that?
Not your past — because it shifts.
Not your personality — because it adapts.
Not your body — because it ages.
So what remains?

Awareness.

Not as an identity…
but as a constant presence.
This is where the illusion breaks.
The self is not something you are.
It is something you experience.
And once you understand that…
you stop trying to protect it.
You start expanding beyond it.
Transhumation is not about escaping the self.
It is about realizing you were never confined to it.
